About Us
Ideally, I think life is about our why… what lights us up and what is important. As a parent, it’s been my goal to build some sort of legacy my children can benefit from when I’m no longer on this earth. Over the years I’ve inherited, been gifted and have purchased collectibles ranging from cool pop culture items to indigenous antiquities. I’ve also faced the loss of close family many times now, and from a very young age. Often, I’ve been the one sifting through their memories… the collectibles, art and antiquities they enjoyed while here laced amongst the pictures and handwritten notes that can be so bittersweet to come across. This is not an easy task and becomes much harder when you’re grieving.
I hope to relieve a bit of the stress and heartache of this task. At the same time I hope to bring some little sense of relief through my ability to discern what items may hold higher value in the resale and auction markets. Unfortunately this is a perspective many people can’t think of when in this situation, and items that could help pay a loved ones bill or support the next generation in some way, do get tossed in the trash or donated unknowingly. You’d be surprised at the things you think are “trash” that can actually be worth a significant amount of money to a collector. I’ve done it… I’ve grieved and tossed something out and thought about it later regretfully. So my why is I’ve been there, and I hope to spare you, and to do that with compassion and care.
